It comes in heritage gold on a black onyx background and celebrates the very
first Delaware plate, produced in 1909. These plates will only be available
through 2009. Delaware is the first state to produce a commemorative license
plate of this kind, and it will soon be a valued collectible. Order yours now,
or anytime before Nov. 21 to have as a unique gift for the Holiday Season! Order
your plate online or pick up an order form at the DMV or call 302-744-2503 for
more information. Those who place orders between Nov. 22 and Dec. 15 can request
a gift certificate suitable for wrapping by calling 302-760-2080. The Centennial
License Plate may be displayed on all vehicles except motorcycles, mopeds, and
IRP apportioned vehicles. Plate numbering will match the number currently
assigned to the registered vehicle. All numerical plates and those with prefixes
PC, RV, FT, C, CL, T, and D, as well as all vanity plates are permitted.
